Councilor Rich Patten was first elected as a City Councilor in 2012 and has served consecutively since. He previously served on the Reedsport Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and previously volunteered with the Reedsport Police Department.
Councilor Patten attended Santa Monica City College receiving an Associate’s Degree in Administration of Justice and went on to attend Moorpark College for Criminal Justice. He served for 39 years as a law enforcement officer before retiring and moving to Reedsport with his wife Joanne.
Councilor Patten is also member of the Thursday Morning Bored Meeting, and enjoys building street rods with his grandchildren in his free time.
