Councilor Debby Turner was elected as a City Councilor in 2013 and has served consecutively since. She previously served on the City of Rosemead’s Budget Committee from 2008-2011. She has worked with GSA, governmental contracts and in various government buildings and military bases.
Councilor Turner currently serves on the board for Reedsport/Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce, serving as the treasurer since 2013. She is a member of the Winchester Bay Merchant’s Association, Reedsport Main Street Program, and volunteers with the Eagles, CERT, the Chainsaw Festival, Kool Coastal Nights, the Memorial Day Parade, Christmas in July, the annual Christmas Bazaar and various other community groups.
Councilor Turner attended Cypress College receiving a degree in Mortuary Science for Embalming. She then attended Trade Technical College for Electrical and a Community College for Structural Welding. Councilor Turner worked in the funeral business for 7 years before moving into the elevator business, retiring after 35 years as an installer, maintenance/repair operator and management. She now enjoys trying new things and loves to do all kinds of things.
