The City of Reedsport has partnered with Central Lincoln People’s Utility District (CLPUD) to offer our customers energy efficient water saver kits FREE of charge. Proper installation of the items in these kits should result in annual savings on customers’ water* and electric bills.
* Only metered water customers may see a savings. Flat rate customers will conserve water by installing these kits, but will not see a reduction in their water bills.
Water Saving Kit Contents:
- 1.5 gpm Showerhead. Recognized in Good Housekeeping and Newsweek. Replace existing bathroom showerhead with water saving showerhead.
- 1.5 gpm Swivel Kitchen Aerator. Replace Existing kitchen aerator with this water saving model.
- Toilet Tank Bank. Fill the bag to line with water and insert into toilet tank to save water with each flush.
- Flow Meter Bag. Use this bag to measure the water your showerhead/aerator uses.
- Leak Detection Tablets. Drop these tablets in the toilet tank. If water in the toilet turns blue, you have a leak.
- 1.0 gpm Faucet Aerator. Remove existing bathroom aerator by unscrewing it. Replace with this aerator for water savings.
- Fill Cycle Diverter. To use attach it to the fill hose and it can safe as much as 0.5 gallons per flush.
- Pipe Sealing Tape. Use this tape to form a tight seal when installing your showerhead to avoid costly leaks.
- Toilet Flapper. Replace existing leaky flapper to prevent tank water from leaking into the toilet.

This form MUST be filled out, signed, and returned in person to City Hall in order to receive your FREE WATER SAVING ECO-KIT. Persons who wish to receive a kit must have active accounts with both the City of Reedsport and CLPUD. Supplies are limited, so hurry in and get yours today.
