Myrtle Grove Park

Lighthouse and Pelican Carving at Myrtle Grove

Myrtle Grove park was acquired from the Oregon Department of Transportation through grant funds in 2020. Originally intended to be a "pocket-park" to relocate the Steam Donkey from Rainbow Plaza, the park now sits as a lush green space adjacent to Highway 38 and East Railroad. Due to the ground saturation and other concerns the Steam Donkey was not able to be moved. The park has become a priority project for the Parks & Beautification Committee, however those preliminary plans are slow-going as the lot is very uneven and extremely wet during all seasons. Future plans include a parking lot and public restroom.
